From "The Oak" by Courtney Lambert
You have stumbled through the woodland and come across a wide glade with trees arching their branches overhead. There are several logs that have fallen in various parts of the glade in varying states of decomposition. Lying in the grass, you discover a small wooden case that seems heavy. Your hands flick the metal latch that has been keeping the lid shut and push it open slowly. You smell the sharp scent of dried peppermint leaves and the warmth from the sprigs of lavender. You feel the smooth leather covers of several books and hear the crackle of the pages as you flip through them. Someone has written a story in a thin delicate handwriting in these books and left them here.
Reader, you have discovered the Writer's Nook where projects have been stored to be shared with others. Unlike the case you just found in the glade, here you will find stories unabandoned and still in progress.
Please look a little further down this page to uncover several links where you may read more of my projects.
